About Olimpia
An Italian migrant, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and pioneering female restaurateur, Olimpia built her businesses at a time when women were expected to stay at home. For 30 years Cecconi's has been a Melbourne institution — a legacy now carried by three generations of women. At 89, she remains elegant, fiercely independent and very much part of the Cecconi's story.
